Text Box: How is the quality of your life?
Text Box: conflict families have more behavior problems, more anxiety, more depression, and less self-esteem than kids in “low-conflict” families. The major stressor for children of high-conflict divorce appears to be that they grow up in families marked by chronic conflict.

In order to help the co-parents resolve conflict without continuous court involvement, topics such as parental alienation, healthy developments, problem solving skills, effective communication skills, the thought process- self talk, and many more are addressed in individual and group sessions. Individual and group sessions are guided by mental health professions through discussion and exercises of subject related materials. Currently, we have five individuals participating in our “first” Building Bridges group.

Text Box: The months came and went and Greg’s self-awareness continued to increase. He has been able to realize that he is in control of what his mind produces and that all of the “tools” he learned during our sessions were already inside of him; they just weren’t being utilized.

Greg admits that he was carrying his “toolbox” with him during his most recent success, when he was able to spend a few nights away from home while attending summer camp! When he returned from the trip, he was so proud of himself and couldn’t wait to share all of his accomplishments! He didn’t call home and was able to enjoy several days with his friends.

Greg’s ambition didn’t stop at camp. Since he has returned home, he has decided to continue working on self-esteem, in preparation to join extracurricular activities at school this year.
