Program Description
The target audience for Building Bridges is divorced parents who
continue to experience a high level of conflict regarding child care and
custody issues following divorce. The purpose of this program is to
minimize the family’s court involvement by helping them reach a better
understanding of the needs of their children, as well as learn skills to
improve co-parenting abilities with the ex-spouse. The program is a
combination of individual sessions and group sessions in which our
mental health professionals guide the participants through discussions
and exercises designed to increase their self-awareness and see the
needs of their children as paramount in dealing with an ex-spouse.
Building Bridges is
conducted as a combination of three individual sessions and six weekly
gender-based group sessions. Each session is conducted by an experienced mental health professional.
