Juvenile Anger Management (JAM)

JAM is an
intervention program for teenagers who have issues of anger or aggression
that have impacted their family life, school performance, or brought them
into contact with the legal system.
JAM is conducted in a series of
4 group sessions,
with some parental involvement. |

Program Description
The program provides services to teens ages 13 -
17. The majority of participants are referred by the local juvenile
justice system.
JAM
groups
meet weekly, with each meeting lasting
two hours. Parents are expected to attend with their
teens on at least 2 different occasions, outlined at
the beginning of the program.
JAM utilizes
lecture, group discussions, role plays, guest speakers, homework, and
videos. The fee for JAM is $35 for each of the 4 sessions.
