Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Family Counseling Service is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide individual, marriage and family counseling.  This person must be comfortable working with individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on children and teens. 

 

This is a full-time position and includes health, dental and retirement eligibility.

 

 

Responsibilities:

​

• ​Conduct behavioral and mental health assessments

• ​Provide therapy to individuals with a variety of mental, emotional and behavioral needs

• ​Implement and review treatment plans

• ​Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

 

Qualifications:

 

​Applicants must hold one of the following Alabama licenses:

• Licensed Professional Counselor

• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

 

Other Qualifications:

​

• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields preferred

• ​Familiarity with community resources

• ​Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• ​Ability to build rapport with clients

• ​Strong teamwork skills and personal initiative
