Licensed Mental Health Professional

Family Counseling Service is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide individual, marriage and family counseling.  This person must be comfortable working with individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on children and teens. 

 

As a part-time employee of FCS, this may be your primary or supplemental income, depending on your availability.  You will work from our office location for in-person appointments, or you may work from home for virtual sessions, while we schedule your incoming clients for you.  Scheduling is flexible to meet your availability.  We provide everything you need for your clinical work including, office space for in-persons sessions, online platform for HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions, in-office support staff, client scheduling, payment collection, insurance verification, electronic health record system and professional liability coverage. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • ​Conduct behavioral and mental health assessments

  • ​Provide therapy to individuals with a variety of mental, emotional and behavioral needs

  • ​Implement and review treatment plans

  • ​Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

 

Qualifications:

 

​Applicants must hold one of the following Alabama licenses:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

  • Associate Licensed Counselor

  • Licensed Master of Social Work

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields preferred

  • ​Familiarity with community resources

  • ​Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • ​Ability to build rapport with clients

  • ​Strong teamwork skills and personal initiative
