Licensed Social Worker (LICSW/LMSW) or Licensed Counselor (LPC/ALC)

Family Counseling Service is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide individual, marriage and family counseling.  This person must be comfortable working with individuals of all ages. 

 

This is a full-time position and includes health, dental and retirement eligibility.

 

 

Responsibilities:

​

• ​Conduct behavioral and mental health assessments

• ​Provide therapy to individuals with a variety of mental, emotional and behavioral needs

• ​Implement and review treatment plans

• ​Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

 

Qualifications:

 

​Applicants must hold one of the following Alabama licenses:

​​

• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (preferred)

• Licensed Professional Counselor (preferred)

• Licensed Master Social Worker

• Associate Licensed Counselor

 

Other Qualifications:

​

• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields preferred

• ​Familiarity with community resources

• ​Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• ​Ability to build rapport with clients

• ​Strong teamwork skills and personal initiative
